3-tier charlie stands
The 3-tier charlie stand is the most-used format on hotel buffets. Our wrought iron range includes a fixed 3-tier charlie in antique finish with 12", 9.75" and 8.25" plates at 29" height; a folding 3-tier charlie in antique finish with 12", 10" and 8" plates at 26" height; a 3-tier charlie with a two-rod folding frame; and a compact 3-tier charlie stand in black powder-coat at 21" height. Folding designs are easier to store between banquets and to move between outlets.
Cage charlies for premium displays
Cage charlies surround the tiers with a decorative wire frame and turn a dessert or starter station into a centrepiece. Choose the gold powder-coated cage charlie with door in 3-tier (32" high) or 2-tier (25" high), or the black 3-tier cage charlie with wooden plates for a warmer, rustic look.
Wooden crate charlie
For breakfast, brunch and themed counters, the 2-tier wooden crate charlie (14" x 10" x 16") adds natural texture and works well with bread, pastries and fruit.
What to display on a charlie
Each tier of a charlie holds a plate, tray or platter, so a single stand can present starters, desserts, breads, fruit or finger food. Charlies suit food served at room temperature or chilled. For hot dishes, use chaffers or snack warmers alongside them.
Building a buffet display with charlies
Height is what makes a buffet look abundant. Combine charlies with risers and elevations to create different levels along the line, add buffet props for a theme, and label each dish with a tag holder. Tall charlies at the back and low risers at the front keep every dish within reach.
