Electric Grillers for Live Counters
Put a grill at a live counter and watch where the guests go. The smell of paneer tikka or grilled corn pulls people across the room faster than any signboard, and the queue at the grill is usually the longest one at a banquet. That makes the griller one of the hardest-working pieces of equipment on the buffet, and the one most likely to be judged in front of guests.
Makrey has worked with hotel F&B teams on live counters and buffets since 1981. This collection has three electric grillers built for that job, all on the same 26" x 11" footprint so they fit a standard buffet counter or live station.
Electric Griller for Hotel Live Counters
Electric Griller
The plain electric griller gives you a clear 26" x 11" cooking area for tikkas, kebabs, grilled vegetables, sandwiches and corn. It is the simplest of the three and the easiest to set up on any counter with a power point.
Electric Griller with Side Container
This model adds a side container next to the grill, so the chef can keep marinade, butter or basting oil within reach without crowding the counter.
Electric Griller with SS Pot
The third model comes with a stainless steel pot alongside the grill. It suits counters that serve a sauce, a dip or a side with every grilled item.
Why Choose a Commercial Electric Griller for Indoor Service
A commercial electric griller needs only a power point. There is no gas cylinder to place, no charcoal smoke and no open flame near guests, which is why most banquet halls and indoor live counters prefer electric over gas or charcoal.
- Indoors and in banquet halls, where gas and charcoal are often not allowed.
- At breakfast, for grilled sandwiches, tomatoes and mushrooms.
- At poolside and terrace events, wherever a power point is available.
- For quick setup, because the unit is plugged in, heated and ready without fuel handling.
An electric grill also keeps the counter cleaner than charcoal, with no ash to sweep up after service.
Setting Up a Live Counter Griller
A live counter griller works best when the chef faces the guests and the food moves in one direction.
Place the electric griller at the back of the counter, with the chef standing behind it.
Keep raw, marinated items to one side and cooked items on the other, so they never mix.
Set serving plates, chutneys and garnishes at the front, where guests collect their order.
Keep cooked portions warm in a snack warmer during a rush.
Label each item with buffet tag holders, especially veg and non-veg.
For a stand-alone live station, place the grill on a canopy cart or display cart. For sizzling plates at the table, see our sizzlers, and for curries beside the grill, our chaffers.
Caring for Electric Grillers
Switch off and unplug the griller before cleaning. Scrape the plate while it is still warm, not hot, so grease lifts easily, then wipe it with a damp cloth once it cools. Never pour water over the unit or immerse it. Empty and wash the side container or SS pot after every service.
Electric Grillers for Hotels and Banquets in Bulk
Hotels setting up several live counters usually order two or three electric grillers per banquet hall, so one can run vegetarian items and another non-vegetarian. Tell us how many live stations you are planning, and our team will quote the right mix, with GST billing and delivery across India.
