Tea- Coffee Pots
Watch a guest's shoulders when the server sets down a whole pot instead of a single cup. A pot says there is more where that came from: a second cup, a slower conversation, no need to wave for a refill. That small change turns a quick tea into a reason to stay, whether it is masala chai in a hotel lobby, filter coffee at breakfast or kahwa after dinner.
Makrey has supplied hotel and restaurant serveware across India since 1981. This collection has 27 pieces for tea and coffee service: stainless steel tea pots, coffee pots, milk pots and sugar pots in matching sizes, banquet pots, copper tea pots, ceramic and Chinese-style tea pots, and kahwa cups.
Stainless Steel Tea Pot and Coffee Pot Sets
The stainless steel range comes in three matching sizes, marked 2cc, 4cc and 6cc, so every pot on a tray matches. Each piece has a glossy finish.
Stainless Steel Tea Pot
- 2cc: 350ml, 3.25" x 3.5" high.
- 4cc: 550ml, 3.75" x 4" high.
- 6cc: 800ml, 4.25" x 4.5" high.
Stainless Steel Coffee Pot
- 2cc: 350ml, 3" x 4" high.
- 4cc: 550ml, 3.5" x 5" high.
- 6cc: 800ml, 4" x 6" high.
The coffee pot is taller and slimmer than the tea pot, so servers can tell them apart at a glance on a busy breakfast counter. These steel tea pots suit room service, breakfast buffets, corporate meetings and high-volume cafés, where pieces are handled and washed many times a day.
Milk Pots and Sugar Pots
Each milk pot and sugar pot matches the steel tea and coffee pots, so a full tea tray looks like one set:
- Milk pots: 2cc (130ml), 4cc (170ml) and 6cc (280ml).
- Sugar pots: 2cc (2.25"), 4cc (2.5") and 6cc (3").
Use the 2cc milk pot and sugar pot for a single room service tray, and the 6cc sizes for a table of four or a meeting room. For ceramic milk jugs, see our ceramic creamers.
Banquet Tea Pot and Coffee Pot
The banquet tea pot (5.25" x 5.5") and the banquet coffee pot (4.5" x 7.5") are made for conferences, weddings and large events, where servers pour for many guests from one pot. As tea pots for hotels, they also suit lobby and lounge service for groups.
Copper Tea Pot
The copper tea pot comes in two sizes, in a hammered glossy finish: a mini pot of 200ml (4") for a single cup of chai or kahwa, and a large 1700ml pot (7") for sharing or for a tea counter. Hammered copper suits Indian fine dining, heritage hotels and wedding tea counters. For details of the inner surface, ask our team before you order.
Ceramic Teapot and Chinese Tea Pot
Ceramic Teapot
The ceramic teapot in golden yellow comes in 500ml (5") and 900ml (5.5"), for tea service in cafés, brunch menus and high tea.
Chinese Tea Pot with Bamboo Handle
The Chinese tea pot has a bamboo handle and holds 550ml, in copper antique, cream matt dotted, silver antique and black matt. The Ashoka pot holds 900ml, in blue. They suit green tea, jasmine tea, oolong and Asian restaurant menus.
Kahwa Cup and Kawa Cup
Kahwa, the spiced green tea of Kashmir, is served in small cups. Our ceramic kahwa cup comes in:
- With lid (120ml): in palam green and black shiny.
- With underliner (110ml): in black matt and cream matt dotted.
- Plain (110ml): in black matt, Lw antique, blue, cream matt dotted and copper antique.
The kawa cup also suits Chinese tea, espresso shots and small tasting portions. Pair it with a Chinese-style pot in the same glaze for a matching set.
Choosing a Tea Pot for a Cafe, Hotel or Banquet
- Tea pot cafe service: the ceramic teapot or a Chinese tea pot, which look good on the table.
- Room service: a 2cc or 4cc steel tea pot or coffee pot, with a matching milk pot and sugar pot.
- Breakfast buffet: 6cc steel tea and coffee pots, refilled through service.
- Conferences and weddings: the banquet tea pot and coffee pot, or the 1700ml copper tea pot.
- Indian fine dining: the copper mini tea pot with a kahwa cup.
Complete the service with our cups and saucers, tea boxes and salvers and trays for room service. For chai in clay, see our kullars.
Caring for Tea and Coffee Pots
Empty and rinse pots soon after service, as tea and coffee leave stains inside if they dry. Wash steel pots with mild soap and dry them straight away to keep the shine. Wash copper by hand and polish it with a copper cleaner when it dulls. Let ceramic pots cool before washing, as a sudden change from hot to cold can crack them, and wash the bamboo handles with a damp cloth only.
