The word "punch" is often traced back to the Hindi "panch", meaning five, after the five ingredients in the original drink. So it is fitting that, in Indian hotels and wedding venues, the bowl is back at the centre of the welcome counter, filled with aam panna, thandai or a chilled rose sherbet instead of rum.

Brass Punch Bowl
Our brass punch bowl comes in 10", 12" and 14" in a glossy finish. Polished brass has a warm, gold tone, so it works as a gold punch bowl for wedding receptions, sangeet nights and festive brunches, where the drinks counter is part of the decor.
Copper and Stainless Steel Punch Bowl
This bowl also comes in 10", 12" and 14", with a glossy copper finish. It suits heritage hotels, Indian-themed banquets and summer coolers such as jaljeera and kokum.
Stainless Steel Bowl
The 10" SS bowl in a matt finish is the practical choice for daily breakfast juices, poolside counters and staff events. It is easy to clean and matches other steel buffetware.
Large Polycarbonate Bowl
The 18" PC bowl is the largest in the range. Polycarbonate is light and less likely to break than glass, which makes it easier to carry, fill and refill on a busy banquet night.
Choosing a Punch Bowl for Banquet Service
The right bowl should match the size of the crowd and the style of the event.
- Weddings and receptions: brass or copper bowls in 12" or 14", as a centrepiece on the welcome counter.
- Large banquets and conferences: the 18" polycarbonate bowl, so staff refill less often.
- Breakfast and poolside: the 10" SS bowl for juices and infused water.
- Several drinks at once: two or three bowls in the same finish, each with a different drink and its own label.
Most hotels place the bowl on a riser so it is easy to see across the hall, rest the ladle in a ladle holder to keep drips off the cloth, and name each drink with a tag holder.

A wedding punch bowl does not have to hold alcohol. Indian menus have plenty of drinks that look beautiful in a wide bowl:
- Summer: aam panna, jaljeera, kokum sherbet and watermelon cooler.
- Winter: warm masala apple cider or a spiced guava punch.
- Festive: thandai for Holi, rose sherbet for a mehendi, and fruit punch with mint for a reception.

Caring for Brass, Copper and Steel Punch Bowls
Empty and wash each bowl soon after service, as fruit acids and sugar can mark metal if they sit for hours. Wash brass and copper by hand with mild soap, dry them straight away, and polish with a brass or copper cleaner when the shine starts to fade. For very sour drinks such as lemon or tamarind, use the SS or polycarbonate bowl, or ask our team about the inner surface of the metal bowls before you order. Wash the polycarbonate bowl with mild soap and a soft sponge to avoid scratches.
