Ceramic Martabans for Hotels & Restaurants
Ceramic Martabans for Hotel Buffets and Indian Restaurants
A row of martabans filled with pickles, chutneys and preserves is one of the most recognisable sights on an Indian buffet. Makrey supplies ceramic martabans to luxury hotels, premium restaurants and banquet venues for condiment stations, breakfast buffets and table service, and has worked with F&B teams since 1981.
Sizes for every station
Our ceramic martabans range from small 100 ml and 150 ml pieces for individual table service, through 300 ml to 550 ml sizes for buffet condiments, up to large martabans of 1.6, 2.4 and 3.2 litres for bulk pickles and display. Some designs have an inside lid, which keeps the contents covered and the counter neat.
Finishes
Choose from silver antique, copper antique, golden yellow, honey, cream matt dotted and black matt finishes, as well as our classic light glaze. Antique finishes suit heritage properties and Indian fine dining, while black matt and cream matt fit contemporary buffets.
Using martabans on a buffet
Line martabans along the back of the condiment counter and lift the larger ones on risers so each pickle is visible. Label each one with a tag holder, and place a small spoon or ladle holder beside it. For chaat and pani puri live counters, our 15-litre ceramic golgappa water pot in honey finish matches the same range. Pair martabans with kullars and dessert cups for a complete Indian counter.
Bulk supply for hotels
We supply ceramic martabans in bulk for new hotel openings, buffet refreshes and replacement stock, with GST billing. Share your buffet layout and the number of condiments you serve, and our team will suggest sizes and finishes with pricing.
