Salad Bowls & Buffet Salad Displays
Salad Bowls and Salad Displays for Hotel Buffets
The salad counter is often the most colourful part of a buffet, and it needs bowls large enough to hold volume and still look fresh through service. Makrey supplies salad bowls, salad serving bowls and buffet salad displays to luxury hotels, premium restaurants and banquet venues, and has worked with F&B teams since 1981.
Wooden salad bowls
Our wooden salad bowls come in 8", 10", 12", 14", 16" and 24" diameters, from individual portions to large buffet bowls. The 7.5" slanted wooden salad bowl tilts the salad towards guests. Wood suits leafy salads, fruit and rustic counters.
Ceramic salad serving bowls
For glazed presentation, our large ceramic serving bowls include 7" round bowls of 1 litre, 9" square bowls of 1.25 litres and deep oval dishes, in finishes from golden yellow and honey to black matt, green crackle and copper antique. They work for plated salads, sprouts, raita and cold starters.
Acrylic salad mirrors
Acrylic salad mirrors are mirrored platters that turn a salad counter into a display. They come in round (14" to 24"), oval (20" to 30") and rectangular (18" x 12" and 25" x 19") sizes. Use them as a bright, reflective base under bowls and platters on the salad counter.
Building a salad counter
Place the largest bowls at the back on risers, keep dressings and toppings in smaller bowls at the front, and give every bowl its own server from our buffet spoons and salad servers. Our 3-arm salad stand holds three bowls at once, which saves space on a busy line. Label each salad with a tag holder, and for smaller sides and plated portions see our portion dishes.
Bulk supply for hotels
We supply salad bowls and salad displays in bulk for new hotel openings, buffet refreshes and replacement stock, with GST billing. Share your counter length and the number of salads you serve, and our team will suggest the right bowls and mirrors with pricing. Explore the full hotel and banquet buffetware range.
Frequently asked questions
What size salad bowl works on a hotel buffet?
Bowls of 12" and above hold enough for steady buffet service, while a 24" wooden bowl works as a centrepiece. Smaller bowls suit dressings and toppings.
What is an acrylic salad mirror?
It is a mirrored acrylic platter used as a base on the salad counter, so bowls and platters stand out against a reflective surface.
